Physio, Sports Therapy & Sports Injury

What is Physiotherapy?

Physiotherapy uses specialist massage and mobility techniques like joint manipulation and soft tissue myofascial release to help restore movement and function in joints and muscles affected by injury, illness or disability.

As well as aiding mobility in affected joints and muscles, physiotherapy also relieves pain and discomfort. When used as part of a sports therapy programme, it can also improve sporting performance, and help to prevent future injuries, stress and strain, and therefore the need for lengthy rehabilitation.

How physiotherapy can help you

When you choose to be treated by our expert physiotherapists and medical consultants, you can be sure that the diagnostic techniques and treatments you receive are of the highest scientifically-validation.

You will be treated by specialists with extensive experience in physiotherapy and sports therapy, who will develop a unique diagnosis, treatment and recovery plan to suit your individual needs.

At Premier clinic, we use physiotherapy to treat conditions such as:

  • Tennis and golfer’s elbow
  • Sports and running-related injuries
  • Joint pain and stiffness
  • Neck and back pain
  • Muscle tendon ligament injuries
  • Arthritis
  • Reduced mobility and movement due to illness or disability
  • Managing a long-term medical condition

We can provide physiotherapy as a stand-alone treatment, but often our clinicians may recommend a combined treatment programme to encourage efficient progress and recovery, getting you back to work or enjoying your sport as soon as possible.

We can also combine physiotherapy with sports massage, and set packages and services are available too. This will be discussed following your initial appointment and will be based on clinical findings.

Cost start from £45.00

Frequently Asked Questions

In most cases, one single session of physiotherapy cannot offer full recovery and will only ensure you have been correctly diagnosed with a particular problem or injury.

Physiotherapy is most effective as part of a specially-developed programme including other areas of therapy and massage. We can offer package deals and 0% finance to help spread the cost of therapy packages, and will only offer you treatments we feel you would benefit from – we do not upsell.

At your first appointment, one of our clinicians will speak to you about the issues you have been experiencing and begin by assessing your condition.

Then a physical assessment will be taken, and you’ll be given a clinical diagnosis which will all be fully explained to you in straightforward language you can understand. After this, you can decide how to proceed with your treatment.

All our practitioners are registered with their governing body and the HCPC; all are qualified to a minimum of Bachelors degree
